I was born in the Kensington section of London and was ever-imaginative growing up, and open to new adventures and roads less traveled. I left England for college across the pond in Florida, and I became interested in event planning. I began my extensive event-planning career by working on recreating the legendary Surrealist Dali Balls at the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida. Inspired by my tenure working with the Dali Museum, I decided to embark upon my own successful event-planning business, first in Florida then settling in the DMV. I fell in love with the Virginia landscape and the seductive lure of Rappahannock and, purchased a very unassuming cottage on Christmas Tree Lane at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Armed with a mile-long corporate and non-profit experience resume, and a Graduate Program Certificate in Event Management from George Washington University, I joined Williams/Gerard Productions in 1998 as an executive producer and moved onto INVNT at its inception in 2008 as an executive producer before acting as the global marketing director, overseeing the global public relations initiatives while building the brand. INVNT caught the interest of Time Inc, which purchased the company in 2015. So began the next chapter of my life, after 20 years of experience in the live events and brand engagement world. The unpretentious, silver lining of a cloud-gray Cape on a craggy Rappahannock mountainside lane beckoned to me. Andrew joined INVNT from its inception in 2008, first, as an Executive Producer and then as the Marketing Director. She was charged with growing the company's brand equity and overseeing the global public relations initiatives. She built the infrastructure of the department and created a competitive internship program. She developed, oversaw and implemented all of the marketing and PR initiatives for the company globally.
